Submit CEUs

Use the CEU Submission Form to submit CEUs for non-VCRA sponsored events.

There are a variety of ways to obtain CEUs.

  • CEUs earned at VCRA-sponsored events will be applied to your transcript automatically.
  • It is the individual CCR holder's responsibility to submit CEUs from all other sources.  Please use the CEU Submission Form for CEUs from non-VCRA sponsored events.
  • CEU Submission Forms, along with proof of CEUs earned, should be emailed to ccr@vcra.net or mailed to VCRA.

How CEUs may be obtained

  1. Any CEUs accrued under the auspices of VCRA-, NCRA- or NVRA-sponsored events, classes, seminars, projects, or activities.
  2. Classes taken at state or community colleges will accrue at 0.1 CEU per credit hour per semester.
  3. Granting of 0.1 CEU per one hour of pro bono services provided to a non-VCRA sponsored event or organization that promotes the professions of court reporting, CART, and captioning.  Board membership, including committee membership, is not defined as a pro bono service.  A maximum of 0.6 CEUs per three-year cycle may be obtained for pro bono services provided.
  4. VCRA members may receive 0.2 CEUs per year of service on a VCRA board or committee.  VCRA members must request these CEUs in writing, and the year of service must be completed prior to the request.
  5. CCR certificate holders may present requests for CEU points for Board approval in conjunction with events not in Items 1 through 4 above.

How to check your current CEU status

The VCRA will periodically inform CCR holders of their current CEU status via email, but members can check their CEU status at any time via their profile.  Follow the steps below to check your CEU status.
